Golden Buffalo Bill Days

Golden hosts an annual festival celebrating the life and spirit of Buffalo Bill, who is believed to be buried at the top of Lookout Mountain. If you're in the front range during the last weekend of July, Buffalo Bill Days is one of the best things to do on a warm summer weekend.

The 2013 Golden Buffalo Bill Days festival will take place Wednesday through Sunday, July 24 - 28, 2013.

Schedules for 2013 have not yet been announced, but there will likely be free music on all days, although most performances are on Saturday. There is typically a car show from 10am until 3pm on Sunday.

The Golden History Museum will also be free on Saturday and Sunday, as will the Astor House. The Golden History Museum is along Clear Creek next to the Golden library, and the Astor House is directly behind Old Capitol Grill. Everything is within easy walking distance downtown.

While you're in Golden, don't forget to take a Coors tour and stroll along Clear Creek.
